I am only about half way done reading this book but I absolutely love it! It has some of the best lawyering advice that I have read in any book. A few of the topics require a little practice to perfect (such as the cross-examination suggestions) but I would recommend this to any young attorney or law student.
I can't believe I went as long without this book as I did. The articles are concise, readable (no legalese) and relevant to all areas of trial practice. I have dog-eared several pages already and am not even a third of the way through the book. Love it!
Excellent tool to have in the trial box
Not quit the areas of focus I wanted
This book is awesome. I have already followed some of his advice about making indexes of preliminary hearing transcripts which came in handy in a pretrial conference setting. My boss was really impressed by the indexes (topical and alphabetical) and the whole process of making the indexes helped me enormously with preparing cross-examination, opening and closing statements. Can't wait to read the rest of the book.
this is a great book for anyone interested in learning about litigation; it will work for novices as well as experienced practitioners. I always give a copy to lawyers who work for me and ask them to digest it.
