You must be dedicated to your continued improvement in playing skills past the Book 1 stage to conquer this book. It is a great piece of continued guidance, especially if you have a good, well trained and experienced professional to help get you through it. Remember, "Practice makes perfect" and "you aren't quite there yet". Keep at it with tenacity and dedication and you will get there! "DON'T GIVE UP!!!"
The product is great, just what I was looking for. However, when it came it was slightly damaged. It was creased / bent on the bound side and along the bottom edge. Being a soft back book one would think that extra care would be taken during shipping.
I love the Rubank series! The easy to follow lesson chart with the well-rounded curriculum is a total winner!
GOOD VALUE My son is making excellent progress with this book- it was recommended by his trumpet teacher (who has been teaching 30+ years!). The book contains 1 to 2 semesters worth of well-written material, is softcover w/ staples and was delivered promptly in good condition. PS My son is finishing 3rd year of trumpet and 10th grade.
Not much more to say other than if you get this book and play these songs, if you like it as much as I did, you will say it's a great book.
I'm satisfied with it just wish it had more etudes. That was a mistake on my part though. a a
as an adult intermediate player i purchased this for my husband i have only high regard for the rubank series and this has proven me more dedicated to the course...it is wonderful for technique, exercises and just playing duets or solos...would not have any other series and i have tried many
